Auf der Suche nach einer Probe von "On the road" von Timothy Han schrieb ich den online-shop an und fragte nach den Versandkosten.

Folgende Antwort erhielt ich heute per Email:
Thanks for your interest in our perfumes.

We do sell samples on our online shop (it is an option in the dropdown) however unfortunately shipping fragrance to Germany (or most places outside the UK) is complicated due to mail regulations as perfume is considered a hazardous good due to the alcohol content. We have in the past managed to ship full bottles to the EU – however the cost is very high – about £30 to ship as it can’t be shipped via regular channels. Technically we could ship samples the same way but the cost would be the same unfortunately.

So due to the high cost to ship we don’t normally offer this as an option. However if you are still interested then I am happy to look further into it with our courier.

Alternatively we are in conversations with a number of German retailers about stocking our perfume but this wouldn’t be until spring.

Habe da kürzlich Proben bestellt im Wert von ca. 20 ￡ und dafür zusätzlich 20 ￡ Porto bezahlt - na ja, immerhin weniger als 30 ￡ .

Mir wären 20 Öcken (ich finde die Pfund-Taste nicht) doch zu viel.
Im Nachhinein habe ich mich gefragt, wie hoch wohl die Versandkosten für einen Flakon sind.
Es ist doch nicht so außergewöhnlich, dass hier jemand in England bestellt oder?

Weiß nicht, das Problem ist Royal Mail, mit denen kann man kein Parfum versenden, das wurde hier schon öfter erwähnt.
Die Alternativen sind UPS und Co. und die lassen sich das gut bezahlen...

Hatte den Online-Shop nochmals kontaktiert und bekam folgende Antworten:

However we spoke with our courier company today and have updated our shipping costs to Germany as follows:

Da ich im nächsten Jahr im Mai in Schottland (Glasgow/Edinburg) sein möchte/werde, wurde mir folgendes auf meine weitere Anfrage mitgeteilt:

We should be stocked in Glasgow early next year – however we are still going through negotiations with the retailer so I can’t confirm a date as of yet. However shipping to Glasgow or Edinburgh is not a problem since it is within the UK; so we can always dispatch to wherever you are staying during your visit.

Falls also jemand von euch Interesse haben sollte und ich das da oben gebacken kriege, würde ich mir das nicht nur auf den großen Zettel schreiben, sondern noch einen Knoten ins Knie machen.
