Please don’t hold me to what is pure speculation on my part...the store counter tester rack that houses this bottle dates to the 1930s to the 1940s. I have a better picture of the tester rack in my photo album. The original bottles that filled this rack may have had black Bakelite caps. The ones that came later probably had the gold cap that you see pictured. The bottles that have the Bakelite caps have a rubber plug (or similar material) that has not seemed to age well. My best guess is between late 1930s to the 40s.
