Carine Roitfeld

I didn't know what to expect with this new brand created by the ex editor in chief of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld, but I was so well surprised with this collection of "7 lovers".
I totally felt in love with two of them (Orson + Sebastian), and I quite like a couple of others.
She worked with 3 perfumers : Aurélien Guichard, Yann Vasnier, Pascal Gaurin.
They don't have the challenging concept of some niche creations, neither the easiness/simplicity of some mainstream brands. All 7 accords are really well done, with true personality. Great materials each worked in a distinctive way, rich, generous (without being too much), and elegant.
"Orson" is my favorite : a dusty hawthorn, slightly powdery with a salty-skin musk.
"Sebastian" is the second one : a sirupy everlasting flower (helychrisum), with touch of wet tuberose and green tobacco (I detect cacao and coffee, but not sure)
..but quite expensive
