This week, we have something of a rarity – Pénombre by Motif Olfactif. I wouldn’t be surprised if many of you haven’t heard of it, which is a shame because this fragrance isn’t just beautiful – it’s unique and truly amazing. 🌌💫
The scent:
I’m certainly not qualified enough to write a full review, but I can say it’s unlike any designer or standard niche fragrance. There isn’t a single thing I dislike about it. It’s soft, resinous, and woody, with floral touches that brighten it in the right places. At the same time, it has animalic notes that make it both seductive and magical. 🌿🌺 It vaguely reminds me of my absolute favorite, LM Black Oud, but this feels less purpose-driven and more artistic or complex. 🪵🌺🐅

Deciding on a theme wasn’t hard after learning the name means twilight. For many days, I made sure to be outside around sunset to observe my surroundings to accurately mimic the feel with my photo. The rest was just bringing the photo to life. 🌄📸
