This week’s feature is my new absolute favourite summer fragrance: Nikos Sculpture.
To understand this scent, you kind of have to understand the ‘90s. After the bold chaos of the ‘80s loud suits, louder fragrances, and even louder Ferraris, the '90s brought a shift. There was a calm optimism in the air. The Cold War was over, the EU was forming, and analogue turned digital. Luxury started to feel lighter, more refined, less about shouting, more about suggesting. Ther Sculpture captures that mood perfectly. Not just a perfume, but a breeze from a Mediterranean summer: effortless, clean, and quietly radiant. ⛱️
The Scent:Bright modern citrus, airy white florals, and a translucent amber-vanilla base that’s warm and sweet, but not heavy. There’s also something creamy and slightly marine in it, but never in an obvious way. It doesn’t demand attention, it suggests a feeling: a linen shirt over a sun tanned skin, a two-tone watch sparkling on the wrist, stepping out of a light-blue cabriolet at 4pm in Saint-Tropez or perhaps, Mykonos. Not a scent to seduce, but a scent to remember. 🍋✨
The Photo:During my research, I learned that the bottle was designed to resemble a boat’s sail, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it. I also found the original poster, where the bottle appears to be dropped into water. I loved that idea, but instead of recreating the splash, I wanted to capture the moment when the sail begins to fill and boat gently moves forward. 🌊📷
