Now this is strange. I seem to get a totally different impression than everyone else. I don't get the sharp, rough opening. No orange at all. On me this opens a very clean, fresh, summery perfume. Very uplifting - reminds me of a crisp summer morning when the grass is still wet from the dew. It quickly turns rather sweet, but still clean. Cleanness is not what I normally associate with sweetness, but this one manages to combine them. After about 4 hours it morphs into something compltely different. Here's where it warms up and I get spices. Not that they're listed, but to my nose they're definitely here. I still don't find it oriental as many others do. The spicy phase is not that long - a couple of hours maybe. Then civet and patchouli discreetly sneaks in. A very discreet patchouli, and a very soft civet. Sophisticated civet? That's a bit of a contradiction as civet as such is wonderful, but not exactly sophisticated discretion in my opinion. Longevity is fantastic, about 9-10 hours! Sillage is discreet on my skin. I get whiffs every now and then when I move around, but I con't think others would smell it more that a foot away. Maharanih would be great for work or a lunch out. I would wear it in not-too-hot summer days. Very energizing and yet warm. A very good blind swap!
