🌅🌞 Happy Fragrance Friday! 🌞🌅
Let’s get straight to the point; Zara should just ban me from buying their fragrances. I’ll definitely keep buying more and taking photos of them if they’re anything like Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes Intense. 🏜️
Let’s rewind to about a year ago when the non-intense version of SOTRSD was released. I noticed it early, and it piqued my curiosity. Decided to wait for reviews and sniff it when I had the chance. Reviews were great, so I gave it a try… and was disappointed. Didn’t like it at all. I couldn’t understand how it got such high ratings. But when the Intense version dropped, I figured it deserved a fair shot, especially since I wanted a citrus frag. 💨
The scent:
The Intense version was an instant hit for me. One minute, a couple of sniffs, grabbed the box, and "By card, please." It has a really nice tangy, airy, sour citrus blend of lemon and mandarin, with a touch of ginger. All of that is layer on balmy, sweet, creamy, thick undertones. The contrast between the bright top notes and the deep base is well-balanced and blended really well. Oh, yeah and it has the performance to back it up it up. 🍋✨
The photo:
Didn’t need to think too hard about this one. At least the awfully long name was useful for something. But since the local desert was closed due to maintenance (and Hungarian weather isn't exactly sub-Saharan in march), I took some inspiration from Dior Oud Ispahan project. Once again, a little photography magic, some editing, and here we are. 🎨📸
Hope you like it! What’s your favorite citrus scent? 🍊💭
