Erst Hui dann sehr schnell pfui..
Afternoon Swim...das Opening ist unglaublich gut. Ich meine wirklich wirklich gut. So gut, dass es vielleicht das beste Opening eines Freshies ist welches ist bisher gerochen habe.
Aber....hier hört es dann auch auf. Und mir geht es nicht um "der hält nur 2-3 Stunden daher schlecht" Aussagen, sondern darum, dass der Mid- und der Drydown wirklich durchschnitt sind. Nach dem grandiosen Opening entwickelt sich Afternoon Swim in einen relativ unklaren Ambergris, white musk Brei, der einfach nur synthetisch wirkt. Für mich ist das heir der ausschlaggebende Faktor, dass ich meinen AS bereits nach wenigen Wochen wieder verkauft habe: beim test fokussiert man eben leider zu sehr auf das Opening. Was danach kommt ist absolut nicht sein Geld wert. Die Bewertungen spiegeln meiner Meinung nach fast nur das Opening wieder. Ich ziehe Imagination und übrigens On the Beach diesem Duft vor, any time of the day

Very Good Blue Allrounder / Office Fragrance
Ok this one is kind of weird. In a good way though.
What other reviewers stated so far is correct: A hyper masculine fresh opening. Very very blue and like a super simple shower gel...only soon after the opening you realize the actual complexity: A lot of different aromatics and the actual star of the show: incense. To my nose, incense is the main note in the dry down giving it a sort of "cold church" smell if you understand that analogy. Very very nice and punches way above its price point in terms of quality and longevity.
I think this is mainly suitable as an office fragrance. My personal use case for Cobalt 7 is my travel bag. Whenever I go on a business trip I dont bring along my larger 100ml bottles of LV, Roja or Xerjoff simply because they are too big and the designs are beautiful but clunky for hand luggage. This one is sleek, perfect for the office and super professional / masculine. It just works...
Summary: Cobalt 7 is quite a fantastic blue fragrance, especially for the price in Europe of around 70 EUR for 50ml. For that price it beats most if not all freshies I know. A fantastic fragrance for the Office or as an allrounder for business trips. For vacation trips i would choose something more fun (like Pacific Rock Moss, LV On the Beach, Malibu Party in the Bay, Virgin Island Water etc.) To me, this one is much much better than Bleu de Chanel or Dior Homme 2020.
