Never in my life a perfume elicited such a visceral reaction out of me. Created by Sheldrake,which most people know as Serge Lutens' main collaborator. Here, Sheldrake is unrecognisable from his usual "Lutens style" and managed to create a most astonishing perfume, which from my point of view is his Magnum Opus, his Mona Lisa, a modern vintage masterpiece, if there's such a thing. And I don't say this lightly, as I think some of his creations for Lutens are simply iconic. And as icons go, Bacall, Dietrich and Garbo would've worn this perfume. Daily. Or Cary Grant. don't have words to coherently put together in a review, but suffice it to say, it immensely surprised this jaded, blasé nose, convinced there's nothing else, or rather nothing new left to smell in this over saturated, fast world. Well, I was wrong, there is. One of the most original, brilliantly created perfumes of the last 20yrs.
