Hier ist mal eine professionelle Meinung zu der Frage.
Frederic Malle (Editions de Parfums) schreibt auf seiner Homepage dazu:
Frederic Malle:
IS IT TRUE THAT FRAGRANCES VARY ACCORDING TO THE CHEMISTRY OF EACH SKIN?
The answer is yes, but not as much as people think: some people’s skins change fragrances drastically, but they are extremely rare.
To me the main reason why people believe that fragrances change on them is that they always compare pears and apples.
Let me explain.
They often compare a fragrance that they smelled on a friend from a distance to the same fragrance that they have just sprayed on themselves at a store. It cannot smell the same, as one fragrance has been sprayed several hours ago, which means that one is smelling the heart and back notes, as the one that has just been sprayed only shows its top notes.
The other thing is that, as for images, one does not have the same rendition of a fragrance from far and from close.
Finally, all fragrances were not born equal!
Older fragrances that are the result of long and complicated formulas, involving lots of naturals tend to be more fragile, especially if they contain a lot of animal notes.
More modern fragrances, especially fragrances with a big back (lots of wood or musk for instance), tend to be more stable.
